RoomSpec

For builders and remodelers

Scan the code on the wall. See exactly what goes in that room.

Upload a floor plan and RoomSpec finds every room and gives each one a QR code. Your crew scans it with a phone camera and gets the finishes, fixtures, drawings and pre-drywall photos for that room. No app. No login.

  • Rooms detected from the plan by AI
  • Printable signs and coverplates
  • Works on any phone, no install
  • Project-wide access from one scan

How it works

From a PDF to codes on the wall in one sitting.

  1. 1

    Scan the plan

Upload the drawing set as a PDF, or a photo of one sheet. RoomSpec reads the floor plan, finds every room and names it.

  2. 2

    Print the codes

Every room gets its own QR code. Print the sheet, tape a sign in each room during framing, and the plan is on the wall.

  3. 3

    Fill in the rooms

Add finishes, fixtures, drawings and photos per room from your desk or your phone. Whoever scans the code sees the latest.

For your trades

The spec is in the room, not in a binder in the truck.

The people doing the work never sign up for anything. They point a phone at the sign and the answer is there.

Nothing to install

The phone camera reads the code and opens the room. No app store, no account, no password to forget in the truck.

Every room, not just that one

A plumber doing all three baths scans one code and hops between them. The whole project is a tap away.

What's behind the drywall

Framing, blocking, electrical and plumbing photos stay with the room. Years later, one scan shows where the stud is.

The only record of what's inside the walls.

Before the drywall crew arrives, photograph the framing, blocking, electrical and plumbing in each room and attach it to that room's page. Once the walls close, those photos are the only version of that information that will ever exist, and they are one scan away for the life of the house.

A code that outlives the paper.

A sign taped to a stud comes down with the drywall. Print the same code on a blank electrical coverplate, install it beside the light switch, and the room's spec and history stay on the wall through paint, remodels and the next owner.

Questions builders ask.

Do my subs need an account?
No. Anyone who scans a room's code sees that room and the rest of the project. Only your own team signs in, to edit.
What plans does it read?
A PDF drawing set of up to 60 sheets, or a photo of a single plan. It picks out the floor plan sheets on its own and skips elevations, electrical and framing plans.
What if it misses a room, or the plan changes?
Add, rename or move rooms by hand. Scan a revised set and rooms keep their codes, so a sign that's already on the wall stays valid.
What happens to the codes after drywall?
Print the same code on a blank electrical coverplate and install it by the light switch. It lasts the life of the house.
Who can see my project?
Only people with a code. Codes are long, random and never listed anywhere public, like a share link. Treat them like one.

Put the plan on the wall for your next job.

Upload the drawing set and have codes ready to print before the framers show up.
